Scholarship & Financial Support for Healthcare Degrees

Geisinger offers several programs designed to provide financial support for students pursuing degrees in specialized healthcare fields. These programs help reduce the financial barriers to achieving your educational goals, allowing you to focus on building the skills needed for a successful career in healthcare.

Nursing and Health Sciences Scholars Program

The Geisinger Nursing and Health Sciences Scholars Program provides up to $40,000 in financial support to help you pursue a career in healthcare. This program is available for students seeking to become a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Respiratory Therapist, or Surgical Technologist. In exchange for the financial support, recipients are required to fulfill a work commitment with Geisinger after completing their education. Medical Imaging Technologist Dollars for Scholars Program

This program awards up to $40,000 in financial support for those pursuing a career in Medical Imaging. In exchange for the financial support, recipients are required to fulfill a work commitment with Geisinger after completing their education. Anatomic Pathology Scholars Program

The program awards up to $50,000 in financial support for those pursuing a career as a Pathology Assistant, Cytologist, or Histotechnologist.  For more information email Sherry Bender at sbender2@geisinger.edu.

 

Employment Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

Geisinger offers meaningful volunteer opportunities for adult volunteers, allowing you to make a positive impact in your community while gaining valuable experience.

The Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) is an innovative model of volunteer programming for volunteers currently enrolled in a clinically-based curriculum of study at a college or university. HELP student volunteers participate in 20 hours of specialized program education that enables them to serve Geisinger patients by implementing strategies that focus on the prevention of delirium and mental decline in patients ages 65+, improving the quality of a patient’s hospital stay and lessening the likelihood of readmission. The schedule for application for the HELP program follows an academic semester calendar.
