Digital Product Specialist Senior (Digital Asset Manager)
Job Summary
Digital Product Specialist Senior serves as chief ambassador and will oversee accountability for one or more digital products. Understands how product(s) supports critical key business marketing and customer experience objectives, regularly reports on product KPI’S to department and system leadership. Effortlessly partners with product end users/stakeholders within business units, to plan and manage product roadmap, product specifications, implementation of new features, and various departments within the system to collaborate with business stakeholders to assess business and operational processes and define solutions.
Job Duties
- Provides direct oversight for one more key product within the digital marketing and experience portfolio.
- Products may include, for example hosted applications that support the digital customer experience for Geisinger patients or members, or digital marketing applications that are used by the team for marketing functions.
- Champions product with critical stakeholders, drives adoption and ongoing utilization and regularly secures and incorporates end user input into product strategy and processes.
- Utilizes digital analytics to coordinate strategies and tactics with internal peers, stakeholders to build product requirements and drive successful launch of digital products.
- Owns relationship with third party product vendor or with IT team that developed and supports the product, partners to execute product from vision to concept while managing stakeholder input and needs.
- Tightly partners with management to design and execute user-centered integration of product into enterprise website/mobile experiences as appropriate.
- Defines requirements/ user stories; partners with stakeholders and third-party vendors to answer questions and prioritization regarding feature and functionality details and signs off on stories before sending enhancement into production.
- Coordinates user acceptance testing externally and internally to ensure product meets or exceeds expectations of users.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information; develops alternative solutions.
- Serves as a day-to-day producer, supporting authoring, publishing, or other operations as needed with digital products.
- Serves as product super user and trainer, supports end users with training and support.
- Keeps abreast of trends, competition and innovation.
- Regularly benchmarks digital product within job portfolio against industry and competitor products.
- Tracks and reports on how product contribute to overall digital business and Geisinger goals.
- Defines, tracks and regularly shares with leadership appropriate product KPIs.
- Uses performance insights to continue to align product to business imperatives.

Position Details
Role-specific skills & experience required:
- 5 years’ experience working with DAM systems preferred, Bynder experience a plus
- 3 years’ experience working in digital marketing or marketing operations related role preferred
- Degree in library science, information science, digital marketing or related field preferred
- Experience with cataloging and classifying assets, developing organizational taxonomy
- Proven experience as a metadata cataloguer, managing digital assets within a DAM system.
- Methodical approach to file architecture and demonstrated ability to design and maintain complex hierarchical systems with meticulous attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work across all levels of department to understand current state processes, recommend and implement future state processes that optimize DAM value to all department stakeholders and drive productivity.
Role-specific Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert for DAM at Geisinger; acts as a resource and champions the DAM system.
- Develop and manage workflows for gathering, storing, organizing, sharing and optimizing digital assets amongst all internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Establish and manage policies and procedures for digital asset preservation, taxonomies, cataloguing, usage rights, and metadata standards.
- Establish, monitor and maintain accurate lifecycle stages of assets including archiving and purging.
- Research and make recommendations on emerging standards and best practices in digital asset management including automation, system integrations, preservation, metadata, and rights management.
- Work cross functionally with both business and IT partners to optimize DAM user experience and system capabilities.
- Work closely with partners in IT for system maintenance and communicating business needs for DAM road mapping.
- Maintain and establishes governance rules around sensitive assets. Enforces legal requirements for copyrighted assets, and assets that require patient / consumer consent to be valid and on file for use of asset in any communication.
- Create use cases and analyze user data to ensure that the DAM system is an efficient asset pipeline.
- Trains internal and external users on using the DAM system. Create and update DAM documentation and user guides.
