Director Stewardship and Donor Engagement
Job Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight, collaborative and strategic planning, implementation and the coordination of a comprehensive donor engagement and stewardship program. This position will lead the Stewardship team in appropriately and consistently promoting varying levels of interaction with philanthropic supporters. It will work closely with colleagues across the system to gather, synthesize, organize and share programmatic information for donor reporting purposes and to shape the vision for stewardship program. This position will partner with various colleagues within the Foundation to launch new initiatives aimed at delivering best-in-class stewardship to our donor community. Manage and establish stewardship reporting materials, messaging and content with intent to develop broad-based donor communication pieces and lead brainstorming discussions to create initiatives and activities on an ongoing basis for stewardship projects.

- Strategize new initiatives and recommendations to innovatively approach stewardship, based on input from senior developmentstaff,stewardshipcolleagues,andbenchmarkingwithsuccessfulstewardshipprogramsatpeerorganizations.
- Compiletheseapproachesandpracticesintoarevised setofguidelinestobeusedasaresource.
- Design,create, implementandmanagesystem-widedonorrecognitionprograms inanefforttosteward establishednewdonors.
- StrategicallycollaboratewithcolleaguesacrossGeisingertoplanandexecutestewardshipanddonorrecognitionevents.
- Work with the annual giving and data team to ensure that the gift acknowledgement process is efficient and timely assisting with creating drafts for leadership correspondence and ensuring timely acknowledgement of all large incoming gifts.
- Recommendsandfacilitatesonandoff-site publicityofmajor giftsanddonors.
- AdvisesonandfacilitatestherecognitionofdonorsinbothprintandWeb-based publications.
- Contributesdonor andgiftinformationfortheFoundation’sAnnualReport,oversees productionofthedonorroll, determines the report recipients, and facilitate the mailing.
- CoordinatesandmonitorstheFoundation’srecognitionentitiesworkingclosely withtheStewardshipandDonorEngagement program, Events staff, Foundation leadership, and other colleagues.
- Workingwithcolleagues todesign,implementandmanagegiving societies.
- Design and implement a stewardship strategy for corporate, foundation and national-level donors and sponsors.
- As requested, work with gift officers to create and prepare all gift agreements including sending to all signers for electronic signatures. If needed, complete a request for the creation of a new Foundation fund if the gift is to do so.
- Oversee and update donor recognition inventory across the Geisinger entities. Work with vendors and Geisinger facilities to have appropriate signage created and installed as needed.
