Neurosurgeon - Physician
Job Summary
Geisinger’s Neuroscience Institute is seeking a spine focused neurosurgeon to join our growing practice in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Job Duties
We are seeking a neurosurgeon who specializes in cutting edge minimally invasive and/or complex spine surgery. A spine focused neurosurgeon would join a collaborative group of two other neurosurgeons with complex and deformity spine surgery expertise. Available technology for spine procedures includes the Medtronic O arm and stealth navigation, and our surgeons have already developed the infrastructure and work flow for anterior, lateral, and posterior spine approaches. We are seeking a candidate who is motivated to expand our expertise and increase patient access and choice in our region.
Candidates would also join a diverse neurosurgical faculty with existing comprehensive coverage of vascular/endovascular, neuro-oncology, skull base, stereotactic, and functional neurosurgery. General neurosurgery call coverage including cranial and spine trauma is required.
As part of our world-class Geisinger Neuroscience Institute, we have innovative high-value clinical protocols for acute inpatient and chronic outpatient disease management, a 20-year clinical data warehouse (Geisinger had one of the very first Epic systems), and a groundbreaking population genomics program. Our team consists of 16 neurosurgeons providing neurosurgical services in four hospitals, including multiple hybrid operating rooms supporting comprehensive stroke programming.
Join our award-winning team:
- Center of Excellence for spinal surgery: Geisinger’s spine surgery program is part of the Employers Centers of Excellence Network (ECEN).
