Job Duties
Join our team in Geisinger's Primary Care at Scenery Park and Bellefonte in this Clinic Supervisor role and support our vision to make better health easier for everyone.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a formal supervisory role and/or demonstrated leadership, and oversight of a team.
Previous experience with training and mentoring teams is strongly preferred. Expertise in conflict resolution and the ability to guide others toward meeting operational goals is needed to succeed in this role.
Previous experience supervising a team in a clinical setting is strongly preferred.
At least three (3) years of related work experience is required; previous clinic experience, team lead or lead experience in a healthcare setting is required.
This position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, days, an occasional Saturday.
You’ll have responsibility at Scenery Park and Bellefonte locations.

Position Details
Supervises and participates in the day-to-day activities of clinic. Monitors, evaluates, and coaches support staff's daily performance and productivity. Monitors quality, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction. Ensures system and regulatory compliance by the team. Adjusts staffing levels according to pre-established productivity guidelines.
- Supervises all clinical and clerical staff and operations within the office.
- Recruits support and clinical staff.
- Coordinates training and orientation programs for all staff, including counseling individuals by identifying learning requirements, designing educational programs and coaching to maintain or improve performance.
- Completes all annual training required by the Health System and assures all staff are continually compliant.
- Maintains responsibility for staffing plans.
- Ensures that adequate and appropriate staff levels are in place.
- Serves as a resource to answer questions and resolve problems.
- Plans and conducts Organization required in-service and other informational meetings with employees.
- Monitors and conducts performance appraisals, in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
- Addresses performance problems, initiating the discipline process if required.
- Reviews and coordinates response to patient concerns and complaints.
- Develops and implements performance improvement initiatives to meet customer needs.
- Maintains responsibility for local budget adherence.
- Obtains necessary approvals and administers approved budget.
- Works in conjunction with providers, staff and Operations Manager to plan and maintain approved budget.
- Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures for Clinic sites.
- Coordinates purchasing activity including, but not limited to, monitoring inventory and supervising the ordering of items as needed.
- Coordinates activities with other sections, departments, service lines and ancillary services.
- Acts as a liaison with other groups, both internal and external entities.
- Provides day-to-day supervision of employees of other service lines and ancillary services located at the site.
- May also supervise non-Geisinger services or staff located on site.
- Monitors provider templates to assure patient needs are met.
- Performs essential duties of assigned staff.
- May be required to provide clerical, clinical or diagnostic support services to patients or providers within their legal scope of practice.
- Maintains responsibility for proper operation of the physical building.
- Ensures all maintenance is performed as needed and all necessary contracts are in place.
