Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician – Advanced Procedures - Wilkes-Barre, PA
Job Summary
Geisinger is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician with the desire to do advanced pulmonary procedures to join our growing team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Job Duties
This full-time position offers a unique blend of outpatient, inpatient, and ICU care, with the opportunity to perform advanced procedures and contribute to academic programs.
Position Details:
- Schedule:
- 2 weeks outpatient pulmonary clinic with procedures
- 1 week inpatient pulmonary consults
- 1 week ICU/month
- Case mix: COPD, asthma, pneumonia, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension, ILD
- Advanced procedures available (based on training):
- EBUS, navigational/robotic bronchoscopy
- Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR)
- Endobronchial valves, ablations, biopsies
- Pleural procedures and more
- Academic involvement:
- Teaching opportunities with Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship (4 fellows/year)
- Research, committees, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Compensation & Benefits:
- $30,000 start incentive
