Enrollment Management Recruiter
Job Summary
Responsible to recruit and educate potential students about the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program offered at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Recruitment for and education regarding the school is done through attendance at graduate fairs, national conferences, and individual school visits. The recruiter works directly with undergraduate advisors to assist students with preparing for medical school.
Job Duties
- Utilizes all admission systems for the processing of admission inquiries through matriculation for the MD program offered at Geisinger Commonwealth.
- Assists in the development of MD admissions recruitment plans and executes them to support institutional goals.
- Manages and participates in all aspects of recruitment for the MD program such as attend graduate fairs, conferences and similar events and meet with prospective students.
- Manages the campus visits and tours for prospective students, institutions, and community members.
- Leads the MD interview days sessions with prospective students and assists with and participates in the overall execution of the events.
- Leads the creation, deployment and development of Recruitment Days.
- Assists in the implementation of all admissions recruitment events including but not limited to Open House programs, Recruitment Days, Abigail Geisinger Scholars Overview sessions, Abigail Geisinger Clinical Experiences Program and Accepted Student Day.
- Manages the screening process for assigned applicants to the MD program.
- Assists with updates to the pre-matriculation pages and social media for accepted MD students.
- Plans and organizes regional open houses and campus tours, schedules campus tour dates, individual school visits and appointments in conjunction with the Director of Admissions, MD program.
- Coordinates with the leadership team in developing the communications plans for respective programs.
- Assists with the credentialing processes for incoming MD students as detailed in the GCSOM Policy on Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening.
- Participates in strategic planning efforts for Admissions and Financial Aid and other areas as they relate to students.
- Serves on committees as appointed and prepares reports, proposals and related correspondence as required.
