Manager of LIFE Geisinger Center of Wilkes-Barre
Job Summary
In this role, the manager is responsible for the administration and coordination of services at the adult day center. Plans, coordinates, and implements all activities, including supervision of therapy staff, home care coordinator, transportation coordinator, and administrative staff. Assists with the completion of financial reporting and planning activities for the LIFE Geisinger program.
Job Duties
- Coordinates the care management process to ensure the best care decisions for each participant's changing condition.
- Assigns designee for planned and unplanned absences in this role.
- Provides leadership and may act as facilitator the interdisciplinary team for development and implementation of care plans.
- Facilitates the development of the participant treatment plan, managing and monitoring participants' progress and decline.
- Coordinates the team's care management process to ensure the best care decisions for each participant changing condition.
- Ensures on call coverage to troubleshoot, advise, teach, coordinate and deliver care and service to the participants.
- Manages the service delivery of the Adult Day Center by providing and encouraging excellent customer service and policies in the Center.
- Ensures the effective operations of activities within the center related to rehabilitation, transportation, medical clinic, home care, and recreational activity within the standards and regulations of the program.
- Develops and recommends the annual budget for center operations and monitors budget performance by service and per member month.
- Ensures that participants are oriented to the program and have opportunities to express opinions about the care and services they receive.
- Assesses that the Center meets all credentialing standards and ensure quality and efficiency.
- Directs and oversees the staff and volunteers of center departments.
- Ensures that staff is maintained at the appropriate levels to provide safe and effective care.
- Manages the facility support for a safe and comfortable environment by ensuring appropriate maintenance of equipment and furnishings in the center, appropriate equipment and supplies are available, and durable medical equipment is maintained and in safe, usable condition.
- Coordinates with contract services to ensure understanding of the PACE model and cooperation with the care management process.

*Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and degree obtained (Associate’s Degree = 2 years; Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years).
- Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 pm
